Taking their name from the "storm" of galactic history, clone troopers served as the first generation of stormtroopers, and were gradually replaced by Imperial recruits known as TK stormtroopers. In addition, stormtroopers would serve with the regular infantry to enforce oppressive rule over the galaxy. Alongside Imperial-class Star Destroyers and TIE fighters, stormtroopers served as reminders of the absolute power of the Empire.

In addition to the standard variant trooper, various specialized units such as scout troopers and snowtroopers comprised the ranks of the corps. These elite, obedient and zealous soldiers wore armor consisting of white plastoid plates over a black body glove, and their standard weapon was the E-11 medium blaster rifle. Stormtroopers ( STs)-also known as Imperial stormtroopers and colloquially referred to as " bucketheads"-were the elite shock troops of the Galactic Empire, and were part of the Stormtrooper Corps, an independent military branch operating under the Imperial Army. You are the keenest weapon in the Emperor's arsenal. The whole ear "arm" flares out at the bottom, where it's much wider than the rest of the arm.Īlso, the ear arm doesn't usually extend all the way to the bottom rim of the helmet, as there is a rubber lining along the rim there - but every helmet is a little different." You are stormtroopers. It's a pretty "organic" looking shape look at the middle panel of the first photo below and you can clearly see the letter S outlining the whole left side of the ear. the sides angle in to the flattish surface running along the top/outside of the arms. It's wider at the base of the "arm" (where it's flush with the helmet) and narrow at the top/outside. When you look at the ear from the side-view of the helmet there is a taper too. If you look at the ear "arm" from the front-view of the helmet, it tapers from thinner at the bottom, fatter in the middle, and a slight taper back to where it meets the ear piece on top. The ear "arms/wings" (whatever you call them) taper in two ways. I posted a couple references to aid you in sculpting the ears.
